16 hours DCJS career development in-service credit

Problem Solving provides the participant with the working knowledge of how to apply problem-solving techniques, which have been successfully utilized by law-enforcement agencies and officers nationwide. Participants will learn the concept of problem-solving policing, be able to differentiate between the operations of community/problem-solving policing and traditional problem solving, and be able to recognize and apply sound problem-solving principles to everyday situations. Both lecture and practical exercise formats are used throughout the course. Problem Solving is designed for all law-enforcement personnel responsible for enforcement and order maintenance.
